Arctic Health

Habitat brings a wealth of experience to the analysis of health in Arctic communities. We are proud of our on-the-ground understanding of the needs and nuances of northern populations, governments and employers.

Our senior partner, Dr. Murray Lee, has been working as a fly-in physician to communities throughout Nunavut for over 10 years and is the regular visiting doctor to the Inuit town of Repulse Bay.

Habitat has worked for the governments of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut on issues such as food insecurity and pandemic preparation and has completed health impact assessments of resource sector projects in Alaska and the Yukon.

Our team knows the north and is strongly committed to continued work in this culturally rich and economically dynamic region.
